Simple angle-measuring tool to help you check traction sheaves for wear and tear - for example, measuring the rope grooves of worn traction sheaves. This tool measures and checks V-grooves with or without undercut. It resembles a slide gauge and has a base with a scale of degrees. Hold the tool at a right angle to the groove and shift the measuring limb to the opposite flange of the V-groove until it sits close to it.
