Credit Card Processing Notice

Important Update for Wurtec Customers:

Effective Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Wurtec will implement a credit card surcharge on all purchases made using eligible credit cards. This communication is to keep you fully informed about the upcoming change and what it means for your transactions with Wurtec.

Key Details:

• Start Date: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
• Who is Affected: All customers using credit cards, in permitted states, for payment.
• Nature of Surcharge:
• A surcharge will be added to your invoice payment whenever you choose to pay by credit card.
• A surcharge of 3% will apply for all eligible credit cards, in the United States
• A surcharge of 2.4% will apply for all eligible credit cards, in Canada.
• The surcharge will not exceed Wurtec’s actual cost of accepting the credit card. This means you will only be charged for the true processing cost incurred by Wurtec, not more. 

Why Is This Change Occurring?

Credit card processing fees represent a significant cost for many businesses. By introducing this surcharge, Wurtec aims to transparently reflect the cost associated with credit card payments. This also provides customers with the choice to use alternative payment methods that do not incur such fees.

What You Need to Do:

• Review Your Payment Methods:
• Consider if you want to switch to alternative payment options (e.g., ACH, check, wire transfer) to avoid the surcharge.
• Check Your Invoices:
• Beginning Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Wurtec invoices will disclose the application of credit card surcharges for orders paid with credit card.
