The breakaway canopy is designed for use with the V1 False Car and/or V1 Adjustable Platform to safeguard technicians working in the hoistway from falling objects. Its critical feature, however, is its ability to detach in the event of a platform failure. If a technician is using a fall protection lifeline and the platform falls, leaving the worker suspended, the canopy will break away when impacted, ensuring it doesn't hinder the technician’s safety by remaining attached to the roof of the V1 False Car.
