Wedge-type come-along clamps are used for the tensioning or bracing of ropes. The rope to be pulled is held tight by parallel movable clamping jaws. To prevent the rope from kinking, the eye is arranged so that the tensile force engages close to the rope. Wedge-type come-along clamps are self-tensioning. This means that the clamping pressure and thus the holding force of the tool increases as the tensile force increases.
