This re-alignment pointer set is designed for use when the car is in the hoistway. The conduit is offset 8" (203.2mm) from the rail center line, allowing it to clear the elevator ropes. The gauges are fastened to the conduit, establishing the distance between the guide rails (DBG). As you move through the hoistway, DBG can be set at the same time as you set the rail faces in correct relationship to each other. The plumb line gauges are built-in and adjustable, designed for use with our adjustable plumb line clamps (10-180).
