The governor overspeed test wheel can be used to spin the governor wheel at speeds up to 4000 ft/min (20 m/s) for overspeed testing per ASME 17.1 section 8.6.4.20.2 (a). Simply chuck the wheel shaft in a drill and spin the governor wheel until it trips. RPM can be measured with a techometer such as Wurtec part numbers 12-240-B, DT-107A, DT-105A, 12-256, or 12-260.
