Tuftex® 4-X babbit is a superior lead alloy used for shackling or re-shackling elevator wire ropes. It is made from the purest lead, antimony, and tin available, in the approximate ratio of 88/12/5. Comes in a bar of 5 weighing 9.35 lbs.
