Mid-Year Update from Wurtec Vancouver

As the one-year anniversary of my transfer to Wurtec’s BC branch fast approaches, I am thrilled to see the branch growing steadily from years past. My primary focus remains on product awareness and availability, ensuring that customers can count on Wurtec Vancouver to fulfill all their elevator industry needs.

A few observations from midway through 2022:

• Supply chain issues. We’re finally starting to recover after last November’s flooding in BC wreaked havoc on routes to the interior. This, following on the heels of COVID, put a heavy strain on our supply chain. I’m proud of how my team and I managed the situation to keep products in stock, and we’re continuing to do all we can to maintain our inventory in the face of product scarcity and rising costs.

• Wire rope. Our Brugg product line is thriving this year with new users getting on board. We’ve been educating customers on the benefits of switching from 8x19 to a premium rope with more flexibility and better coverage on the sheave groove to reduce wear and rouging. Call me anytime to discuss your rope needs.

• Wurtec swag. If anyone missed out on Wurtec tee-shirts or the wildly popular Wurtec hard hat stickers at my open house last September, I’ve ordered more from headquarters, so stop in and see me!

Finally, I’d like to say a huge “Thank you!” to all my customers, from Manitoba to BC, for their continued support and for welcoming me to the branch.
