Our Year in Review

As 2023 reaches a close, we’re reflecting on our successes and accomplishments over this past year and looking forward to the next.

Here are just a few of our top highlights from the year:

• January – Wurtec was named one of Toledo’s “Top Workplaces” for the seventh time. This achievement reflects Wurtec’s commitment to creating a dynamic, inclusive, family-oriented company culture.
• May – A team from Wurtec joined our Brazilian sales representatives at ExpoElevadora, a biannual trade show held in Sao Paulo. This event brought industry personnel from Brazil, Latin America, and around the world together to learn and network.
• June – A team including CEO Steve Wurth, President Blake Pilgrim, Vancouver Branch Manager Mike Hurley, Vancouver Branch Manager Mike Hurley, and sales rep Claude Hamel attended the CECA convention in Halifax.
• July – Wurtec celebrated its 38th year anniversary.
• August – Members of the Wurtec sales team attended the Elevator Association of Florida meeting and gave a presentation on alternative elevator testing, which is now approved in the state of Florida. They explained how Henning products perform each of the steps of alternative testing efficiently and reliably.
• September – The annual NAEC Convention was held in Reno. A team of 15 attended, exhibiting our newest innovations in tooling and safety as well as our latest development in elevator systems and components.
• December – We held our annual holiday fundraiser, collecting food and cash to help area families in need.

We were also proud to announce the release of several new tooling products, including our aluminum series, elevator door lifting handles, counterweight stacking pins, and aluminum FTC hoist rig. To accommodate this expanding product line and growing demand, we opened two additional warehouse locations in Toledo.

As we reflect with pride on our achievements in 2023, we’re even more excited about what 2024 has in store as we continue to grow our product line, reach more global customers, and deliver outstanding service.
